The server uptime and customer support is fantastic
I have hardly any faults about 1and1. The prices are just right and the speed and uptime of the servers are great. They are second to none in customer support.
I would really recommend them. |

Excellent hosting, poor service
I registered for 1and1 during their free hosting special. I found their control panel to be very efficient and friendly for new users. The servers were very rarely down, I can only recall one incident where my space was down for more then 10 minutes. Customer service was excellent, responding to my queries within 24 hours. All that combined with a price that can't be beat, it's really hard to recommend anything else. |

Fast Service
They have fast service and can help you with your problems. I have heard a lot of negative comments about them on the internet but I have not seen any of these problems. They also have great prices - $5.99 a domain - I recommend it |

Awsome Support never goes wrong!
My Family has been looking for a host to host there site...I was crawling the web. No Hits, looked in a magazine 8 Pages of Pure Ads who from? 1 And 1, right there I knew they had some clients in them from the money they invested! So I check it out, the business plan was perfect 3 domains!? Awsome that baught be right away! The Tech Support is the best on the net...always finds a way to answer your problems! |

1and1 scams you of your cash!
1and1 had the special offer 6 months ago. This is where you can sign up for free and you get a free .co.uk. The offer lasts for 6 months then runs out and you can pay if you want. So i signed up and all was fine until the end of the trial period. I recieved an email saying pay for next year or your account will be deleted.
I did not want another year of the site so i just thought nothing of it and never paid. A month later i get a letter through my door saying you owe £5 for a years hosting! Threatening to take me to court! 1 and one is a scam. |

Good first start
I have just taken up design/maintenance of a site hosted by 1and1.co.uk and they are a very good host for first timers, with an easy to use control panel a site builder function and a gallery function and a shop tool.
You can have a site with 1and1 without any knowledge of any web based programming so I would definatly recommend this to new site buyers. their customer support has lots of information on it and they respond quite quickly to email requests. |

Great service, support
Upon registering I was quickly sent e-mails on how to properly make the most of my account. The server during my time has never been faulty and the customer support is superb. Usually they reply to your queries within the same day. The price on the other hand is a bit higher than what other up and coming providers offer but with their uptime, support and reputation it's a great value. |

1and1 Free Hosting is Decent
About a year and a half ago when 1and1.com first start in NA they had an offer which gave you 3 years of free hosting. I signed up and while the address they give you isn't the best http://s939939494.onlinehome.us, you can't beat the price of free. Last year around boxing day I happened to get the flyers early so I posted them up onto my site, using full sized pictures that were about 2 MB each. I got slammed with traffic so my bandwidth allocation for the month was blown though in the matter of hours. Thankfully 1and1 did not shut down my site till after boxing day and after e-mailing customer service my account was reactivated the following month when the allocation reset with out me having to pay a dime. 1and1's great value
i'm currently paying $10usd/month and get super value from my web host.
a typical domain name for a 12 month period would already cost me $15usd per year and my plan gives me three. and along with the amount of extra's (50 mysql db's) well worth the $10 per month...
server speed is also great... although there are times when the servers came get sluggish, 99% of the time, they offer very good speeds. |

Do not choose this one please!
1AND1 s****! Not only have they provided lousy service- but giving them a credit card is risky. In the two months that Ive been on board with 1and1 Ive had three unauthorized charges that I did not order, and can't use with front page extensions, so why would I want to order the service to start with. If they are going to burn me at least make it for something I can even use, if I did charge it. Now they threatened to suspend the service thats already paid for up front, because I denied the charge for the services I did not order this month and my card refused to pay it as ordered pretty good take what Ive paid for in advance because I wont give them the freedom to charge whatever they want whenever they want to my credit card. Maybe I should just post the card on my website, so everyone can use it when they want!!!! This is my first time and experience with the web and hosting Im not impressed to say the least. |

Great Host, but Horrible Customer Support
I found 1 and 1 Internet when they first started, they were giving out free hosting as a promotion. I was interested and I signed up with them. The speed was excellent, and the servers were always up, and because the hosting was free at that time, the price value was exceptional. The problem was that, at the end of the year, 1 and 1 tried to stick me with a 24 dollar bill. I was outraged at this, so I threw away the bill. Then in about a month, a collections company sent me a letter that represented 1 and 1, and threatened me with legal action if I did not pay. I still have the invoice stating about the free hosting and such. I promptly ignored the letter. Then another month came where they sent another letter claiming that it was their last warning. I threw away the letter and never heard back.
So all in all, it's a great hosting company, but hopefully you did not have to go through the same ordeal that I did. |

Great Price Value
I have been using this hosting service for quite some time now and thought I should review it. It was a pretty well formatted site and the one thing that caught my eye about it was the price for hosting. It was properly set and to good value. It was amazingly low and accurate. One of the best I have ever seen. Most servers I usually rent are double the price they are offering. They had a great variety of eShop templates for websites and other great features. Overall, it's a great webhosting service. |
