HORRIBLE LIARS
This is the worst host ever. Do a search on reviews before you waste your time or money. They've highjacked my website, surabufix.com and SOLD it and I can NOT get it back because they changed the listed owner and will not return phone calls, emails or even the BBB inquiries. Anyone doing a class action against them let me know! |

SCAM - RACKET - FRAUD - DESPICABLE - BEWARE
I have been with AccuBURST for over a year. They are not reliable in any way and I am still not recieving all of the services touted in the hosting plan.
I can't get ahold of anyone by phone. I've sent dozens of emails to them over the past year and they haven't returned or acknowledged a single one. I can log into my billing account, but not the help desk area (hmmmmmm). They will not open a trouble ticket for me. They will not tell me why their trouble ticket system doesn't work, or provide a way for me to open a trouble ticket other than by phone (which they don't answer). [Get this] When I told them I was having problems opening a trouble ticket, they told me to open a trouble ticket. I have left messages with them since nobody ever answers the phone and they have still never opened a trouble ticket for me.
Their servers are slow, and overtaxed, and down much of the time. Their 99.9% uptime agreement is by ping only, so when HTTP, FTP, SMTP, CPanel or MySQL are down it is not a breech of the agreement even though their service is unreliable.
I have felt nothing but injustice since I signed on with this company. Burn in hell, AccuBURST.
HELP TAKE THIS COMPANY DOWN BY FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I DID. https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/GetStarted.aspx |

Avoid them
I've been with them for one year. Lots of features, but very poor reliability (my site was down for long periods of times, repeatedly). They claim all their servers are Xeons and P4 with at least 1 Gig Ram. It's false, since they once offered to transfer me onto another machine, a low-end celeron with 512 megs of Ram...I shared a server with 187 other sites, that probably included porn sites, since the CPU/Memory usage was always high.
The worst thing is that they will keep charging you even if you cancel. 40 days or so before my account expired, I asked that they confirm that they wouldn't keep charging me and renew it without my consent. I've sent them daily emails during two weeks, never got a reply, and guess what, they renewed it. Luckily, before they did so, I told my credit card fraud department I suspected that such an illegal transaction would happen, so I was protected (they renewed both my domain name and account, but later terminated the account. The domain name is still registered)
Don't trust the network status indicator on their website. It always states "good", since it's not even an applet, just take a look at the page's source code. Their live chat system doesn't work. Their phone lines are always busy.
Accuburst sucks. Avoid them. |

Accuburst Sucks! Fraud!
It says that I am hosted with them still but not by choice. These slimy little bastards will take your card and repeatedly charge you for services without your permission. You can try to contact them but they will not answer ("all customer service reps are busy" says the machine constantly). They will not respond to your emails. Their trouble ticket system is broken. Their Live Chat system is broken. They will do anything they can to avoid you. Stay away from these scum Accuburst sucks! Don't believe me? Try to call/email/live chat with them... try to get any response... then try to do it 3 times in a row. |

They are liars - stay away!!!
I've been with them for a few months now & have filed with the Better Business Bureau of Connecticut as a last resort to sort out my problems with their HORRIBLE HORRIBLE "service". I've had problems since day 1 with these guys and they never got fixed. Forced me to switch & now I'm trying BlueHost.
HORRIBLE SERVICE/CUSTOMER SUPPORT: - no service for weeks - no support for months (they don't even register my tickets anymore) - blocked from using forums to post bad reviews - phone services are mysteriously "busy" 24/7 - will not respond to requests for refund in accordance with their "99.9%" uptime guarantee (it's BS.) - will not respond to request for cancellation - will not respond to notification of BBB complaint.
FAKE REVIEWS I've found the EXACT same positive reviews about them posted on SEVERAL sites by the same people & the same day. I am convinced these reviews are fake and posted by Accuburst staff to lure in customers. I've tried contacting the people who have posted positively recently only to find out the emails are fake.
I've also contacted several companies that they advertise w/ positive reviews - a few have contacted me wondering why accuburst claims they are recommended.
Finally, I've contacted people from the site's testimonials & found that some of them posted positive reviews the first month then negative ones later when the true colors of the company showed. I'm informing the BBB of all of this & advise anyone who has had similar troubles to contact them & hold Accuburst/Polaristar responsible for their shabby service.
Don't be taken in, this company is the WORST host I've had in 5 yrs!!! |

Great for gamers!
When me and my buddies went looking for a host, we came upon ACCUBURST as one of our possibilities. Out of all the other guys we considered, ACCUBURST had the best reputation. After being with them this long, now I know why! I can only say good things about ACCUBURST. |

I currently have two annual accounts with this host
I will let you know more when I have more information. I got these accounts about 4 months ago - mostly because of the 4500 megs nad 75 mysqls per account. There have been glitches such as when I was told that I was exceeding my space count when I only had 60 megs uploaded, and a number of times I found an ACCOUNT SUSPENDED folder in my ws_ftp. On each of those they told me that I could just delete the folder as long as I was getting access to ftp and my website. SO that worked out well. NOW, however, my ftp as of yesterday and still - is totally suspended. ws_ftp and corel ftp return - you connection was gracefully refused. I asked tech support what was going on and they said - We're passing this matter onto the adminstration and they will follow up on this with you. When I got the spaces they told me they were "content neutral." I have some anti-bush, anti illegal alien stuff on just one of my sites. I read their ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY AND toc very carefully and I have not violated any provision there, so now I get to wait until monday (no access from friday until monday is a huge waste of time for me) to find out what they are doing. There were no warnings, no indication of this and even though I can access the file directory from the cpanel, I'm not going to do any work until I find out whats going on. Should my accounts be cancelled, and even if they give me a prorated refund (and they better), I will file a complaint with the attorney general in their state and mine - there is no reason for the suspension. None at all. I have been hard at work on two national sites for 4 months now and having some host cause me to lose all that would be cause for the complaints and a possible lawsuit. Hopefully they will have a good explanation, and I can report a good result. MajorHart |

AccuBurst.com testing ...
I just signed up with AccuBURST.com for my hosting a few hours ago.
Since I notice there aren't many reviews on this host, I'll be inputting the chronology of events between my new host and me on this thread.
Well, I spent 2 days searching for somebody who could give me a package that I needed.
I needed somebody to host 750MB with 7.5GB transfer. With several domains, several emails, reliable uptime, SSL, PHP4, MySQL, etc. under $7.50 per month.
I did several searches on this forum for several different providers. These guys must be fairly new to the market, because I also did a search on webhosting.info and see they have a small market share, yet the market share is steadily increasing, not decreasing like many of the other names I researched.
I tried to see how much uptime they have on hyperspin.com, but it doesn't look like they subscribe to that service, so I can't make an accurate guess on the actual uptime they get.
I did a search on hostsearch.com to see who had packages that met my criterea, and of the 89 hosts, AccuBURST.com looked the best. I checked the reviews on that site as well, and they looked okay. I must say though, that of the 5 reviews, only 1 really looked legit, but that's my independent judgement. I'll be adding my review to the pack in a few months.
I did searches on yourhostsucks.com and came up with nothing. Also did a search on google.com for "accuburst problems" and nothing major popped up.
These guys have a package that met all my needs. I admit though, that when I signed up, about 5 minutes into the navigation, I did get booted off due to "connection refused" errors. That left me with an iffy feeling. We'll see how it gets in the days/months ahead. So far though this evening, nothing like that has popped up again.
They use cPanel, which I have absolutely NO know-how on, so the tranition so far is going a little rough, but there is a link to the on-line documentation for cPanel that is making things a bit easier for me. I'm going to keep popping into this thread now and then to inform other potential customers if they are really worth it or not. |
