Great! Fast, good Value, Great uptime
I host one domain with Dot Servant.
Their uptime is great. I can't even remember the last time I noticed it being down.
They use Cpanel X, which is a good thing. It doesn't have Fantastico though, but that isn't the end of the world.
At the time of writing, it has PHP 4.3.10 and MySQL 4.0.25-standard.
I have found their customer support to be quite slow. But then, i've only had to get in touch with them a couple of times in the past couple of years, over things relating to databases etc - nothing that was really their fault.
The speed is quite good, it isn't THE fastest, but by far isn't the slowest by a long way.

It's free! but..only 100mb storage space ..still good
If you want a free, reliable and great service webhost..then you should choose Deluxe Host. It gives 100 mb storage space (real good for a free host)..its really fast and no ads whatsoever. shortdomain name ...real easy to sign up.. one of the bset free hosts around |

Deluxe is Decent
I was in need of some quick, free hosting, as we all are at some point. Well, after doing some surfing, I came across Deluxe Host (DHost for short). I got hosted with them, and everything ran fine. While I was with them, the only time there was ever downtime was for about 10 minutes for a server reboot. My forum ran at a good speed, and never needed customer support.
Now, the downside. They oversell- badly. If all of their customers used their alotted space, DHost would be in trouble.
Also, there is no cPanel. You get an FTP account, phpmyadmin, and the ability to add a mySQL Database. That's it. And, there's no Perl support, or cgi-bin, meaning no CGI scripts, or YaBB Forum.
So overall, you get what you pay for. Decent enough. |
