the ads and space are stupid
i would not recomend it to any 1 it sucks thay dont alow flash files the web editor is java based and is slow and im runing an awsome pc with 512 unlim bband
the only good things are uptime and that its free

Good enough
It's a good enough free service that I would use again if I couldn't pay for my own domain. It got me through the years where I couldn't and still wanted a website of my own. The one problem I found annoying was that it was down quite a lot. |

GeoCities - Novice Webhost
GeoCities is devoloped for the new website user. I would not recommend this to users who have previous experience with other hosts. This host will be a crap compared to any other hosts. I have never trialed out the price hostings, but from the free service I was able to determine that GeoCities is a reliable host that you know will stick around. Only issue I have with the company is it does not support any experienced web designers. Also there is a problem with pop-ups. They really make the hosting a horrible experience. Also this website provides new website owners web builder. Very good for people who do not know html,php and etc.
I recommend this to novice users.
I do not recommend to anyone who had previously had a website. |

Easy to navigate
GeoCities is extremely easy to use and navigate. It's free to start up and a lot of web tools are available for use. Customer support is amazing and the server loads up pretty quickly, but sometimes it takes awhile for downloads and uploads. |

Fast service, as long as it lasts you
I had a Spider-Man site in the past and it was closed down within a month, without any warning. They said I was inflicting copyright material. Other people had Spider-Man sites but they did not allow me to have one. Their customer support could have done a better job and tell me what I was doing wrong. This was the first time I made a site and it allowed me to stay away from geocities. |

In the short time I was a member of Geocities, There server was always up.
The short time I was a part of GeoCities I rarely had any issues, It was fairly good service. The only real issue I had dealt with the speed. It wasn't that bad though!
I give GeaCities 9/10 overall! |

Didn't like it at all
There are many problems with GeoCities, which probably explains why their sales are down. I had a horrible experience with their CSR which then prompted me to quit my hosting there. Ridiculous that such a large company would have such poor service! |

Biggest plus - it was free. Biggest complaint - the pop up ads!!!
This was the first web host I used. The customer support was non-existant. For free hosting, though you did get a decent amount to space and number of mailbox addys. The pop-up ads annoyed people to the point that I lost vistors - my guest log was full of complaints about them. |

Rubbish support, but good uptime
I'm not sure where to start. I think i will start negative, and end on a plus point ...
I got some free hosting, for a small project i was doing. The trouble was, it had some background sound, which was approx 300-400kbs. After one hour of reloading, checking pages, updating etc, I HAD RUN OUT OF MY TRANSFER LIMIT.
I carried on with other stuff, but it happened again the next day. I gave up after a week, and found another host.
Their customer support is very poor, and can take upto three days I found to reply, often with a prewritten standard reply i found.
The server speeds are ok, but when yo uremember the pages are just plain html, they should be faster.
Price value = 10/10, because it is free!
Overall 5 - you wouldn't want a site with this company! |

worst free host you'll ever have
geocities is the worst free host you'll ever have. Their uptime is constant, but the speed is slow as a turtle. Along with that pop-ups are the killer. You'll have popups on every page of your website.
My suggestion don't go to them. |

Geocities is great
I found Geocities a great host to use in the past before I moved onto different hosters. They had 100% uptime and my site used to load fast. Infact I used them for many of my websites in the past. They are a good host to go with. |

Too exspensive for so little content
I used this host in hopes to get a home business going but found that I was paying a lot of money for little content and I could not add graphics that way that I wanted to. I always had trouble with it and sometimes it would go down for no reason at all.
I am still looking a better host. I have stopped using geocities. I think my cousin might be able to assist me now. I just know i would not reccoment geocities because of the price. |

Free Sites Which can be upgraded
I have used this site for various projects and have found that they are quite supportive. The site is easy to use and is easily upgraded to paying sites for those projects where it is feasible. I have had very few problems and those I have encountered have been addressed quickly and appropriately by staff. |

A lot of promises
A lot of promises where given or implied. After the initial work was performed, the cat was left in the bag and not let out in the open. This was a bit of a let down and became depressed. |
