They ripped me off and are incompetent
They promised 24 hour support, but all you get is voice mail. They promised free SSL and made excuses and tried to get me to buy an overpriced SSL cert from them. cPanel implementation is insecure and makes websites vulnerable to hack attempts. I ran a Qualys scan on my site and it failed with 43 vulnerabilities. Naturally they came up with more excuses, said it's because I didn't pay for an SSL cert(!) Refused to fix these issues and said Qualys is not to be trusted. (eBay trusts them, who do I trust more, eBay or some dude from Monsterhosting?!) So basically anyone who hosts with them is on a totally compromised server that is critically vulnerable to hacking, and Monsterhosting refuses to do anything about it. (I don't think they know how). A total rip-off. BTW, they also refuse to give any refund after 30 days, which is generally how long it takes for them to set up the site... Convenient, eh?
