Please Don't!
Site5 used to be the deal. Great service and great prices. Those days are long past. In the three years plus that I've been a customer I've seen their service go from really good to the worst experience I've ever had. I'm a reseller so I deal with 20 plus sites. Site5 is bloated and overloaded. They have multiple servers that they use to host sites and it's really a crapshoot to know if you'll get a good one. Some have limited to no problems. Some, like mine, are devastatingly horrid. Please don't use this company. It seems like in the past year they've launched a new initiative to pull in as much business as possible. This is great for them, but leaves their servers staggering to keep up. Slow load times, perpetual down times. I can't say it enough. PLEASE DON'T! |

Cheap -- but customer service is really bad
I've been with site5 for about four years now. In the past year, I've noticed considerable slowdown in server time, and it takes days for them to get back on any trouble ticket.
The support center used to have levels of urgency that you could put on your ticket. They took that option off recently, so now every ticket is treated the same, regardless of the circumstances. In other words, Joe Blow who has a question about a font color on his homepage has the same urgency as someone whose complete site is offline. So your site can be down for days on end before someone finally responds to you and helps you out.
They used to be really good -- but I think they may have gotten too big for themselves and can no longer handle the volume of customers. Even if it's a buck or two more, go with someone else if you want customer service. |

They have great CS, but would be better with great uptime
Site5 customer service has been great. They are responsive and open about issues. However, I just can't recommend a hosting provider who can't keep their servers up. They regularly miss their 99.9% uptime promise. I'm in a two year contract, if this keeps up, I'll have to bail in less than a year. |

Slow and down servers
almost completed 1 year with Site5... the servers are so slow you can experience it everyday.
The sites are down for 10-15 times a day. FTP never completes. connection always breaks.
Good for personal websites, with 10-20 visitors max. |

It began good, but declined quickly
I joined up during the time when there was no bad reviews of Site5. It also began very good. However after a couple of months it went downhill. Our e-mail addresses got black listed because of spamming all the time. Mail disappeared. The webserver also began to be unstable. We've moved our mail, but kept the web host. |

It can get slow at times...
At first when I signed up a few months ago, it was super fast. But I noticed slowing down, both of the webserver and the mail server.
The speed right now is *okay*, but sometimes it's really slow. Definitely not good as a business solution, but if it's just a personal site, you really get bang for your buck.
Since I'm running a small business, I would have chosen a different host. |

Great Hosting Site!
Hello,
Site5 - The name is famous amongst all the GREAT hosting companies in the market...They have been a great host for my friend and me! It was originally purchased by my friend and I was sharing it! What can you say? The GREAT new features known as FlashBack is a great help...Now we are not really worried about backing up our Database as we have flash back! I know no other GREAT hosting site like site5 which has this feature.
Besides that, they have a blazing speed...After testing...Our site offers a 1.61s loading speed! This is one of the strong points of Site5. Another great feature is Customer Support. Though sometimes they may take time to respond to your mail...however, when they reply, they give you a perfect response which will 99% lead to the solution of your problem!
I haven't as of yet witnessed any amount of downtime. My friend plans to continue with site5.com!

An okay budget host
Site5 is definately a good budget host. Keyword: budget. They are "good enough" for most people and for most personal sites, but I would not rely on them for an important site.
They do have a quick tech support turn around time, (less than 24 hours), but they aren't always the most helpful.
They're cheap and you do get a lot of features and space/bw, so I would consider them. If you're looking for a budget host, then they are pretty good.
I had a lot of problems transfering my sites over and they wouldn't help me either. You'll find the most help from their forums. |

Site5 Support Staff
I want to express how sincere site5’s support engineers are. Last night, after reading a forum post about how vulnerable my outdated phpbb was, I decided to update it to the newest version. I’ve always had problems with updating web software and this time was no different. The first attempt, I manually updated my board, but something messed up and I couldn’t log in with different templates, I effectively blocked out my admin access as well as others. Going into panic mode, I emailed tech support at site5 and Beau helped me restore my DB as well as my directory. Then fast forward about an hour. I was poking around and found that I could automatically update using fantasico. So I clicked update and got the successful confirmation message. But alas, I got blocked out from my admin access. I am very bad at updating web software. So I sent an email at night with my details again, but it was late at night already (about midnight) and I had to get up early for work (6AM). So I sent an email to tech support and asked for them to restore my DB and dir. When I woke up, Vince replied back and was able to solve my problem and now I have an updated board.
I’m happy that site5 was able to respond to all my queries within 15 mins! Excellent work, if I wasn’t for them, I would have had to start my board from scratch (like I did last time, not knowing how to backup). |

Excellent account management system, good prices.
If you are looking for a host that delivers, Site5 is definately it. For the price, the storage and bandwidth you get is unbelievable. The speed is decent, but it could be a little faster. I've only had one downtime since i've been with them, which was a dns server issue so all site5 sites were down for a few hours, although they were speedy in figuring out the problem and everything has gone smoothly since.
Thier support forum is excellent as well, and you can get help with questions or problems almost immediately. Overall I would definately check out this host if you are looking, its absolutely amazing. |

Site5 has the best customer support
Before purchasing a reseller package from Site5, I had a few chats with their webhost that went quite well. They are friendly and very helpful. So I bought a package that night.
The features that Site5 gives its users really beat other hosts by a mile. I love their my.site5 member area. It's easy to use.
Their server has never gone down yet since I've been with them. The speed is pretty fast.
Customer support is fast. I opened a support ticket and got a reply within 30 minutes. |
