There's definitely better out there
Tripod i think just stretched themselves too thin. When I was being hosted there a couple of months ago, the server was extremely slow. People always complained about long download times and my upload times were also very long. On the up side, even though they are slow, they are usually up and running which is a lot better than some other ones I've used.
